Final Tax Bills Have Been Delivered

Property tax bills have now been mailed to all property owners. Please watch for your bill to arrive in the coming days.

  • November 28, 2025

Please ensure payment is made on or before these dates to avoid penalty or interest charges.

Tax deadlines

Interim Tax Deadlines: March 31 and May 30, 2025

Final Tax Deadlines: Sept. 30 and Nov. 28, 2025

Supplementary Tax Billing can be done at any time during the year. A supplementary tax bill may be issued when there is an increase in the value of your property. The increase may be a result of a newly constructed home, an addition to the house, the construction of a swimming pool, construction of a new building or a change in the class of a property. This change can be backdated to the date of the change to a maximum of (3) years.

How to Pay Your Taxes

Search "Erin (Town of ) - Taxes". When asked for your account number, enter your 19 digit Assessment Roll Number - no spaces, dashes or dots. Please allow 2 to 3 business days processing time.

Due Date – The amount will be deducted directly from your bank account on the installment due date.

Monthly – The previous year’s tax levy, less any credit on account, is divided into 10 equal payments. This amount will be deducted directly from your bank account on the FIRST FRIDAY of each month from January to October. Any remaining balance due for your taxes will be deducted directly from your bank account on the FIRST FRIDAY of November.

User Defined – This is a 12 month plan for Property Tax account in arrears, with the goal of moving to a monthly plan once taxes are current. The negotiated amount is deducted directly from your bank account on the last Friday of the month.

Send your tax payment to epayments@erin.ca. Identify your name, address and Assessment Roll Number in the message box.
Mail in, or drop off at Town Hall (24/7 secure drop box) - 5684 Trafalgar Rd. Hillsburgh, ON. N0B 1Z0
Tax payments may be processed by your financial institution with the tax stub. Please allow 2 to 3 business days processing time.

Estimating You Tax Bill

For residential properties, annual taxes are calculated by multiplying the Assessment Value shown on your tax bill by the appropriate tax rate.

If you are new to or are looking to move to Erin you can estimate your tax bill by multiplying the purchase price of the home by the appropriate tax rate.
