Explore - Play - Connect (Master Plan Update)

Explore, Play, Connect captures the spirit and purpose of Parks and Recreation in the Town of Erin. It reflects our commitment to creating opportunities for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities to enjoy healthy, active, and engaged lifestyles.

Explore
We invite our community to discover the natural beauty, trails, parks, and open spaces throughout Erin. Whether it’s hiking a trail, visiting a conservation area, or discovering a hidden corner of a local park, “explore” encourages curiosity, adventure, and appreciation of the environment.

Play
Play is at the heart of recreation. From organized sports and free play in our playgrounds to drop-in programs and special events, we believe play fosters physical wellness, creativity, and lifelong joy. Erin’s recreation spaces provide safe, inclusive, and engaging places for people of all ages to move, have fun, and stay healthy.

Connect
Parks and recreation bring people together. Whether it’s connecting with nature, neighbours, or community resources, our facilities and programs serve as gathering places that strengthen community ties. From family picnics and local festivals to recreational leagues and cultural programs, we create the spaces where connections are made and memories are built.

Recreation Master Plan Update

The Town of Erin’s Recreation Master Plan, originally developed in 2019, serves as a 10-year roadmap for parks, recreation, and culture in our community. As our town continues to grow and evolve, it’s important that the plan remains relevant and responsive to community needs.

We have now completed an extensive community consultation process, gathering valuable feedback on recreation programs, facilities, and parks. We sincerely thank all participants for their input.

We look forward to presenting the findings and recommendations to Town Council this fall.
