Inspections Required for Issued Building Permits
A building inspection ensures that your construction project complies with the Ontario Building Code and your Building Permit.
When receiving your Building Permit, attached will be a list of required inspections. Please ensure that construction does not continue to the next stage, until you have passed the required inspection(s).
How to Book an Inspection
The Town has shifted to Cloudpermit. Applicants will be able to request an inspection using Cloudpermit.
If your permit has not been added to Cloudpermit, please book an inspection by calling 519.855.4407 ext. 240
or by sending an email to building@erin.ca
Please have the following information ready:
- Project Address
- Permit Number
- Type of Inspection Requested
- Contact Information (name and phone number)

Refund of Grading or Pool Deposits
To obtain a refund of a deposit taken for a pool permit, please send an email to building@erin.ca after the final pool inspection has been completed.
To obtain a refund of the grading deposit, please submit a request for a grading inspection to building@erin.ca. A refund will be issued following the inspection.
