Planning Compliance letters are provided by the Planning Division in response to requests typically received from individuals or solicitors who are interested in specific information about a property. A planning compliance letter, also known as a zoning compliance letter or certificate of compliance, is an official document from a municipality's planning department that confirms the legal status of a property and its structures. It verifies that the property's use, zoning, and buildings conform to municipal regulations and bylaws.
If you are interested in receiving a compliance letter, complete the Compliance Request form and check off the appropriate section. Once completed, submit it along with the fee to the address or to the Planning Department, planning@erin.ca shown on the form. Please note the Division requires a minimum of ten-fifteen (10-15) business days to process these requests.
Payment can be made in the following methods;
- E-Transfer at epayments@erin.ca payers must NOT put in a password for us to process the transaction.
- Mailing/dropping off a cheque to Townhall; it is recommended to provide a copy of the invoice and reference any invoice or document number for cheque payments.
- To make payment over the phone by VISA or Mastercard; please call 519-855-4407 Ext. 255 to speak with the Town's Finance Department an additional 2% will be applied for any payments over $200.
- Visit the Town hall to pay with a debit card or cash.
Once a receipt as been provided to you by the Finance Department, please forward along to the Planning Department along with the Request Form to ensure the request as been complete.
