Our Annual Touch-a-Truck event, in celebration of our Public Works staff and their hard work, is back again!

Date: May 27, 2023

Time: 10 am to 1 pm

Place: Erin Town Hall grounds

As part of the National Public Works Week celebration, come out, get up close and personal with our staff and equipment and vehicles from our Roads and Fire and Emergency Services.

Ask any question, get behind the wheels (no you cannot drive it) and take photos.

A great family fun day!

New for this year!

2023 Town of Erin National Public Works Week School Art Competition

Dates:                             March 7 – April 7 (Winner will be announced April 10)

Grades Eligible:              1-6

What:  Art Competition to celebrate our Public Works staff and what they do, with the winning artwork being printed on T-shirts for Town of Erin staff as well as the winner and their family.

This is a competition for kids in grade 1 to grade 6 and there will be a vote held for which masterpiece deserves to go on the shirts – it may be the most talented, but it also may be the most imaginative.

Art Prompt: Do you see the hardworking men and women that are in charge of Public Works for the Town of Erin? How cool is it to get to drive those big trucks?! They drive the snow plows, sand the streets, and maintain roads/sidewalks/parks/trails – in general, keeping our town safe and clean so that you can live with your friends in a well-taken care of community. We want you to draw our hardworking Public Works employees and their vehicles that get the jobs done! Get colourful and get creative!

We know you’ve got what it takes so get your entries to us, through your school, before the April 7 deadline!
