As one of our first points of contact, the Customer Service Representative are the face and voice of the Town for Parks and Recreation, providing essential assistance and information to customers. Reporting directly to the Administrative Coordinator, this position performs a variety of skilled administrative and customer service functions.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public both over the phone and in person at the facility reception desk.
- Process a facility booking requests and follow up related to facility rentals, meeting rooms, and one-off rentals/occasional use of recreation facilities (arenas, sports fields etc.).
- Supports program registration, membership and pass sales, and admission fees.
- Responsible for cash handling, daily balances, and reconciliation.
- Utilize Xplor, and POS system.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential.
- Previous experience in a customer service-related environment is required.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Xplor is an asset.
- Successful candidates who are new hires or have not previously held this position will need to provide a satisfactory criminal record check, including vulnerable sector screening, dated within the last 30 days, as a condition of employment.
- Ability to work in a multi-task environment, often under pressure;
- Work with and maintain confidential information.
- This position works up to 24 hours a week, including evening and weekends.
- The compensation for this position is $18.66/hr.
