OVERVIEW OF POSITION

As one of our first points of contact, the Customer Service Representative team serves as the face and voice of the Town’s Parks, Recreation, and Facilities Services. This role provides essential information and assistance to the public, ensuring positive customer experience. Reporting directly to the Administrative Coordinator, the position performs a variety of skilled administrative and customer service functions in support of the department.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide exceptional customer service to the public both over the phone and in person at the facility customer service desk.
  • Process facility booking requests and follow up related to facility rentals, meeting rooms, and one-time rentals of recreation facilities (arenas, sports fields etc.).
  • Support program registration, membership and pass sales, and admission fees.
  • Responsible for cash handling, daily balances, and reconciliation.
  • Utilize Xplor, Recreation, Microsoft Office Suite, and POS system.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential.
  • Previous experience in a customer service-related environment is required.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience with Xplor is an asset.
  • Satisfactory vulnerable sector check
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment, often under pressure;
  • Work with and maintain confidential information.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT

  • This position works up to 24 hours per week, including evening and weekends.
  • The primary location for this position is Erin Community Centre (14 Boland Drive, Erin, ON). The incumbent may be required to support other locations as needed.
  • The compensation for this position is $18.66/hour
  • The Town offers optional participation in the Ontario Municipal Employee Retirement System (OMERS) pension plan.
