Town of Erin welcomes Council-elect for 2022-2026

ERIN, ON: With the closing of the Municipal Elections 2022, the Town of Erin welcomes Mayor-elect Michael Dehn and Councillors-elect Cathy Aylard, John Brennan, Jamie Cheyne and Bridget Ryan for the Term of 2022-2026.

The Town of Erin has issued the unofficial results for the 2022 Municipal Election. All results will be verified and approved by the Town of Erin Clerk and Returning Officer, Lisa Campion. The official election results will be issued on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. The City of London is responsible for results for the Office of Trustee, Conseil Scolaire Viamonde, the City of Brampton is responsible for the results for the Office of Trustee, Catholique Mon Avenir, the Township of Guelph/Eramosa is responsible for the results for the Office of Trustees, Wellington Catholic District School Board and Upper Grand District School Board. A total of 3,363 voters cast their vote this election, representing a 36.09 per cent turnout of the eligible voter base of 9,313.

Mayor-elect Michael Dehn commented: “I would like to extend my congratulations to the new Council-elect. Running for public office requires a tremendous amount of commitment to serve our residents and I thank them for it. I thank our residents who, not only strengthened our local democracy by voting, but have placed their trust in me and Council-elect. I look forward to working with this Council and staff to move our municipality forward and help address some of the issues that are of concern to our residents.”

Council Inauguration will take place, at the Erin Legion Branch 442, 12 Dundas Street E. on November 16 at 6 pm.
