Town of Erin, Upper Credit Humane Society ink new lease deal

Lease agreement with UCHS strengthens partnership and benefits community

ERIN, ON: The Town of Erin is pleased to announce a new lease agreement with the Upper Credit Humane Society (UCHS) for a sixty-month term. The Upper Credit Humane Society had leased the premises 5383 Trafalgar Road in Sept 2001 for a period of 20 years. The lease expired in December 2021, which the Town had earlier extended it until 2024. This new lease agreement solidifies the Town’s longstanding partnership with UCHS and demonstrates commitment to supporting the organization's efforts to serve the community.

UCHS has made significant contributions to the well-being of countless animals, and the Town is proud to support their work through this lease agreement. UCHS will continue to provide crucial services, such as animal rescue, adoption, and education programs, to the community.

“We are grateful that our continued discussions with the Town of Erin have resulted in a new 5-yr lease for Upper Credit Humane Society.  While we will still be actively looking for a new location for the shelter, this provides us with more time to find an appropriate location in the area that we currently service.”
