The Town of Erin will be hosting an awards ceremony to honour the recipients of the 2024 Shamrock Awards on April 24 at Centre 2000.
Following a nomination process earlier this year, recipients of the awards were selected by committee and recently notified.
The Town of Erin holds its annual Shamrock Awards to recognize outstanding volunteer work in the community, businesses who go above and beyond to serve, environmental action and the Citizen of the Year recognition.
New this year is a youth award, highlighting a young person in the community who has made a significant contribution in the past year.
The categories are: Community Volunteer, Innovation, Business of the Year, Youth, Environment, Agriculture Business, and Citizen of the Year.
A reception before the awards ceremony will be held in the main lobby of Centre 2000 at 5:30 p.m.
Snacks, desserts and refreshments will be available before the main awards ceremony held inside the theatre.
The event is free and open to the public.
The Town of Erin welcomes residents to come out and cheer on their neighbours.
