Erin Celebrates Recreation and Parks Month!

Erin, ON – Each June, communities across Ontario celebrate June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM) — a time to recognize the important role that parks and recreation play in enhancing quality of life. JRPM is supported by municipalities, community organizations, and schools to highlight the physical, social, and environmental benefits of being active and engaged.

Access to parks and recreational opportunities is a fundamental need that supports personal well-being, strengthens communities, and fosters social inclusion. JRPM shines a spotlight on Ontario’s incredible recreation and park services and the critical role they play in building healthy, vibrant communities.

To celebrate JRPM, the Town of Erin is excited to offer a full calendar of free, inclusive activities for residents to enjoy throughout the month of June. From Pickleball and Roller Skating to Youth Ball Hockey, there’s something for all ages to help you stay active, have fun, and connect with your community.

"We’re proud to support Recreation and Parks Month by offering free, inclusive opportunities for residents to enjoy our local facilities and stay active. It's a great reminder of the power of recreation to bring people together and enhance our quality of life," says Mayor Dehn.
