Erin to distribute 2024 Community Grants
The Town of Erin is set to distribute its annual community grants to 19 organizations within the community.
The 2024 Town of Erin Community Grants Fund provides $20,500 to local non-profit, charitable or youth groups with up to $3,000 in funding annually to support service to the community.
"Many exceptional groups who go above and beyond for our community will receive modest community grants,” said Erin Mayor Michael Dehn. “With nearly twice what was awarded being requested, I'm very happy council endorsed Councillor (Jaime) Cheyne's motion to have staff look at increasing community grants to $30,000 next year. Your community appreciates your efforts."
This year, the Town received 21 applications totaling $42,650 in funding requests. Councillor Jaime Cheyne recently put forward a notice of motion for staff to explore the feasibility of increasing the annual community grant funding pot to $30,000 for 2025.
