BALLINAFAD COMMUNITY CENTRE AND PARK.
Ballinafad Community Center is located in Ballinafad, at 9382 Halton -Erin Townline near the corner of Trafalgar Rd.
Ballinafad has a long history of having a community centre which was increased in size about 20 years ago and a five acre park was added.
It has a 30 X 80 foot hall, which has been used for all manner of celebrations and gatherings. It can accommodate 286 people with chairs only and 226 if using tables and chairs for unlicensed events. At licensed events it holds 195 people at tables and chairs. It is a hall with a lot of natural light, hardwood floor, stage and air conditioning. It has a kitchen with two refrigerators, and two stoves, and microwave. Our bar has a large cooler.
It can be rented at very affordable rates, by calling 905-877-2002 and speaking with our booking agent Carole Norton.
Beside the hall and paved parking lot is a children’s playground. A large picnic shelter is ideal for summer reunions as well as groups of picnickers. We have a fenced unlit baseball diamond and a soccer field. A portable washroom is available for the outdoor games during the summer months. The Performance Dance Academy offers lessons in ballet, tap, hip hop and jazz directed by Teresa McMillan – 519-855-3288.
The Ballinafad Community Hall board is a group of volunteers who work as a committee of the Town of Erin. We publish a bi-monthly Newsletter. Copies are distributed at the Ballinafad General Store of by calling Diane Krout at 905-877-7722.
