Asset Management Planning is the processing of making the best possible decisions regarding the building, operating, maintenance, renewal, replacement, and disposal of infrastructure assets. The objective is to maximize benefits, manage risk, and provide satisfactory levels of service to the public in a financially sustainable manner.

The Town of Erin owns and operates a variety of assets that are needed to support the delivery of municipal services. This includes things like roads, bridges, and building. these, and other assets, are operated and renewed in accordance with the Town's Asset Management Program.

The Town's Asset Management Plan was formally updated in 2018 based on 2017 data.

The Asset Management Plan answers:

  • What do we own?
  • How much is it worth?
  • What condition is it in?
  • What work do we need to do to rehabilitate the asset?
  • When do we need to rehabilitate the asset?
  • How much will it cost to rehabilitate the asset?
