The Erin Agricultural Society has been a strong citizen, a pillar—or shall we say farm fence post, of the Erin and area community since 1850. Originally sponsored and fostered by the Canadian government in the 1840s and 1850s, the intent of agricultural societies was to educate farmers in new agricultural techniques with the goal of raising prosperity within the agricultural sector.

Based near Hillsburgh Ontario has been in business since 1991 as a diversified farming operation producing beef, horse hay, straw and cash crops. We also provide custom farming services for other local farms, and in 1999 started a specialty agricultural equipment fabrication and repair shop. Gilbrea Stables, a horse boarding / dressage training facility became a part of our operation in 1998.

Equine Clothing and Accessories Founded in 2014 through a need to find comfortable, wicking athletic wear, strong enough to withstand the rigors of barn work and hacking; comfortable and breathable enough to ride in; fashionable enough so that teenagers and adults would want to wear it; and, above all, bright enough to be seen from a distance when on roads or during hunting season. Safety is always top-of-mind when sitting on a 1500 lb prey animal that can and will spook at the slightest provocation.
Recognizing the important contribution of the equine sector to the economy of the Headwaters region, the Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association has facilitated the formation of the Headwaters Equine Leadership Group (HELG), a collaborative initiative of regional stakeholders who are committed to the importance of the equine sector in the Headwaters region, and whose principle objective is to promote the Headwaters region as a centre of equine excellence in the province of Ontario, and to support, grow and advocate for this vital sector of our regional economy. Headwaters Horse Country is and initiative of HELG and includes the communities of Caledon, Dufferin County, Erin and King Township.

Serious competitors in both eventing and dressage can achieve their goals at Hill Haven Stable. For boarders, training is available on a full or part-time basis or lesson by lesson. If you are interested in selling a horse, all aspects in the management of the sale, including training is available. Many horses have gone on to be solid competition horses from Hill Haven Stable. For those interested in showing, they may enjoy the services of trailering, coaching and day care while at the shows. We compete at all levels, throughout Ontario, Quebec and the northeastern USA. For the eventers, we can arrange schooling at cross country sites as well.
