WILL YOU BE AFFECTED? Is your property "adjacent" to a municipal water main?
"Adjacent" - For the purposes of Section 3, "Adjacent" means that a property line is within 30 metres of a municipal water main and that the building, which is to be serviced, is withing 120 metres from where the municipal water service valve is located.

Requirements for a New Water Service Connection to the Town of Erin Drinking Water Systems:
1. The Homeowner must contact the Town of Erin Water Department, complete the application for a New Water Service Connection and submit payment for the fees associated with the connection.
2. The Town of Erin Water Department installs the portion of the waterline from the watermain to the property line of each residence. The cost for a 3/4" residential line (to a maximum of 20 meters)is $2,750.00 + Applicable taxes. Additional Distance is $135.00 per meter. Contact Frank Smedley for the costs associated with service lines greater than 3/4".
3. Installation of a waterline from the property line to the residence. The cost and installation for both the water meter and the waterline from the property line to the residence is the responsibility of the Homeowner. The price of the water meter is $405.39 including tax, based on current market value and is subject to change without notice.
4. New Water Service Connection Fees. There are three levels of fees:

5. Inspections. Prior to having the water turned on, the following inspections are required:
- The service valve and waterline installation and connection myst be inspected and approved by a Town of Erin Water Operator.
- The water meter installation must be inspected, approved and sealed by a Town of Erin Water Operator.
