Municipal Servicing Standards
The Planning Department is involved with the SSMP, Servicing and Settlement Master Plan which is currently being undertaken to determine if, how and where future water and wastewater servicing will occur in the Town of Erin to 2031.
On September 25th 2007 Council passed a resolution to defer decisions on any development applications i.e. subdivision condominium and any revisions to previously approved draft plan approvals within the boundaries of the villages of Erin and Hillsburgh until the outcome of the SSMP has been determined. The study outcome is anticipated in 2010. The Planning Department is a liaison between the community, stakeholder groups, the study consultants, Town of Erin Council, the Province and other government agencies.
