The Town of Erin is situated in Wellington County, just northwest of Toronto. The two urban centres, Erin and Hillsburgh, are urrounded by a natural rural area which includes six hamlets: Ballinafad, Brisbane, Cedar Valley, Crewson's Corners, Orton and Ospringe. The Town of Erin is bordered by the Town of Caledon to the east, the Town of Halton Hills to the south, the Township of Guelph/Eramosa to the west and the Township of East Garafraxa to the north.

The town is located approximately 30 - 40 minutes north of the 401 at the Trafalgar Road cutoff. Our municipality is intersected by Trafalgar Rd. from Ballinafad to the Erin East Garafraxa Townline. This is just south of Dufferin Rd. 3 that runs between Fergus and Orangeville.
Our town is also intersected by Wellington Rd. 124 which runs from Guelph through our munipality on to Caledon.
